Cormac McCarthys "The Counselor": Ridley Scott wird Regie führen
Nur zwei Wochen, nachdem Cormac McCarthy sein erstes Skript "The Counselor" verkauft hat, nimmt sich Regisseur Ridley Scott des Werks an. Das Material ist schon mal vielversprechend.

Wann es zur Umsetzung von The Counselor, dem Skript des Erfolgsautors von No Country for Old Men und The Road, kommt, ist noch unklar. Ridley Scott hat gerade viele Projekte am Start, und es bleibt abzuwarten, was der Regisseur nach Prometheus als erstes umsetzen wird. Neben einem Sequel zu Blade Runner, einem Biopic über Gertrude Bell, sowie dem Drama Reykjavik über den Kalten Krieg, stehen auch noch Gucci und Monopoly auf Scotts langer Liste.
The Counselor erzählt die Geschichte eines Anwalts, der sich durch Naivität im Drogenhandel verstrickt. Obwohl das neue Material McCarthys maskuline Note trägt, sollen in dieser Story auch zwei Frauen eine wichtige Rolle spielen.
Wann sich Ridley Scott die Zeit nimmt, den Film zu realisieren, steht noch in den Sternen. Doch im Gegenteil zu vielen anderen Projekten, an denen Scott braut, dürfte The Counselor eher ein Low-Budget-Film werden und somit auch schneller umsetzbar sein als einige seiner anderen Vorhaben.
