"E.T." kommt in der Originalfassung auf Blu-ray
In your face, George Lucas! Steven Spielberg bringt die Kinofassung auf die blaue Scheibe. Darin sind die Waffen zu sehen, die in der Special-Edition durch Walkie-Talkies ersetzt wurden.
In HD und im Original im Jahre 2012
Am letzten Freitag kam die Star Wars-Saga zum ersten Mal auf Blu-ray heraus. Dies nahm George Lucas wieder einmal zum Anlass, seine Filme ein wenig abzuändern. Beispiele sind der Ersatz des Puppen-Yoda durch ein CGI-Yoda in Episode 1 und ein hinzugefügtes "Noooo" von Darth Vader bei Episode 6. Doch dies passiert nicht zum ersten Mal. Schon zu der DVD-Veröffentlichung der Filme gab es einige Änderungen. Damit machte sich Lucas nicht nur Freunde, sondern auch viele Feinde, die am liebsten die Filme so sehen möchten, wie sie ursprünglich im Kino zu sehen waren. Auch Steven Spielberg hatte sich beim Release der Special Edition von E.T. dazu verleiten lassen, Änderungen mithilfe des Computers vorzunehmen. Er ersetzte zum Beispiel Waffen mit Walkie-Talkies, sodass der Film noch familienfreundlicher wurde. Heute gesteht Spielberg das als Fehler ein.
Aus diesem Grund wird er im Jahre 2012 die Blu-ray des Sci-Fi-Klassikers nur in der Kinofassung veröffentlichen und nicht in der Special-Edition. Also liebe Eltern, wenn ihr euren Kindern keine Waffen zumuten möchtet, müsst ihr zur DVD greifen. Alle anderen holen sich die hochauflösende Variante, in der Art, wie er gedreht wurde.
Zudem hat "Señor Spielbergo" durchblicken lassen, dass die ersten drei Indiana-Jones-Filme ebenfalls im Jahre 2012 auf Blu-ray erscheinen werden. Wow: The Dark Knight Rises, Fussball-EM und jetzt auch noch Klassiker in HD - das nächste Jahr hat es in sich.
