Bryan Cranston an Bord, PG-13 und der Kinostart ist auch schon fix. Nach langem Hin und Her ging jetzt alles recht fix, und die Dreharbeiten sind momentan unter der Führung von Marc Forster am Laufen.

"World War Z" erzählt die Geschichte der Menschheit, die einen grausamen Krieg mit Untoten hinter sich hat und von der sich nun einzelne Personen auf die Suche nach Überlebenden und Opfern machen. Der Krieg hat die Welt der Lebenden vereint, aber anscheinend sollte er doch noch nicht ganz als beendet angesehen werden.
Wir berichteten, dass die Verfilmung des Buches von Max Brooks Probleme bei der Finanzierung hatte, weil Paramount nicht bereit war, einen Rated-R-Streifen mit 125 Millionen Dollar auszustatten. Man hat sich nun geeinigt, und Regisseur Marc Forster ist nun angewiesen, eine Freigabe ab 13 in Amerika zu erreichen. Ein Zombiefilm für Teenager? Wie das aussehen soll, wird man ab dem 21. Dezember 2012 herausfinden können. Denn Paramount hat das Startdatum des Filmes auf diesen Tag gesetzt. Ob das jedoch so klug war?
Zur Erinnerung: Am 14. Dezember 2012 startet der erste Teil des Hobbits in den Kinos, der wohl mächtig am Box Office abräumen wird. Da hat sogar Superman keine Chance, weshalb man den um ein halbes Jahr verschoben hat (wir berichteten).
Im Cast von World War Z sind übrigens Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale und neu auch Breaking Bad-Star Bryan Cranston vertreten, wobei letzterer momentan in jedem zweiten Filmprojekt dabei ist. Cranston wird nächstes Jahr unter anderem in Red Tails, John Carter, Rock of Ages und in dem Remake von Total Recall zu sehen sein.
